We founded Kapi Sator out of a deep love for Southern Thai food, for food that is fresh, healthy, and authentic. We only use locally and sustainably sourced ingredients - Surat Thani oysters, Tapi River prawn, day-boat scallops, wild-caught fish and free-range chicken and beef. Our curry and paste, rich in flavors and fragrant, are made in our kitchen the same way the islanders have been doing for generations. Each and every dish that we serve is an expression of our love for food, life, and fine local living on Koh Samui.
We first opened our door as a small family-run restaurant near Chaweng area. Within a few years, our tiny place has blossomed into a thriving restaurant, well loved by locals and celebrities alike, with indoor and outdoor seating, room for families, parties and even crowds. (Yes, we do catering...just ask us!)
A celebration of Southern Cuisine, all of the ingredients we use here at Kapi Sator are just that: local. We stock our restaurant kitchen with daily deliveries of fresh seafood and greens that we pick ourselves, at market each morning. From the bounty of the Gulf of Thailand to your plate.
In addition to our menu items, we also offer daily specials inspired by seasonal ingredients, the weather and how we are feeling. We are always on the lookout for new sources of ideas and inspiration, so when we travel (which we admit, we do often) we often bring back our favorite flavors and culinary discoveries, reinventing Southern Thai cuisine as we go.

We are visiting from Canada. We had another favourite local Thai place until we tried Kapi Sator, and now this is our clear favourite!
Dishes arrived in very good time, of faultless quality. Service and attention of staff mirroring the quality of food.
